Decisions decisions!

For those of you who may not get the reference, Crystal is an expert pokemon catcher. She has every type of pokeball(minus the master ball) and can judge which pokeball would be best for the pokemon she's trying to capture. :]

Ohshi- a Nidorino! Quick, kick the Moon Ball at it!
xD

Y'know, the best part about this costume is arguably that you chose manga-Kris as the main focus.

Do you take commissions/trades? I would kill to have that backpack >>

Did you make the turtleneck yourself as well? And how on EARTH did you get the Pokegear? Any more pics of the Pokegear? Lovely work <3

Thank you very much! ^^ I've actually had a few people interested in the backpack, so maybe in the future? Since it's a lot of pieces it would probably end up being around $60, so it really just depends if people are willing to pay that much. lol

Nah, I didn't make the turtle neck. That was the only think I flat out bought and wore as-is. <_<'' I could have easily made it, but I'm very very short on time due to Fanime. ^^;

As for the pokegear, I made it myself! ^^ Here's a progress shot before it was painted: [link] I used 1" thick styrofoam board for the basic shape, covered it in a thin layer of Paperclay, and painted it with acrylics. :]

I'd like one in about a month or so... If I paid you now, could you make it by then? Hell, I'd even pay you just for the pattern xD;

Ahhh, that's the same method I used on my VS Seeker. Paperclay is GOD. <3

Those shorts must have been HELL, though. Stretchy fabric is fuuuun. </3 Did you use any special pattern/technique, or did you do what I do and go "LOL I'mma wing it"?

Lol! Well, like I said I'm really busy with Fanime, and then I have a con mid-June that I'm selling at, so I'm really short on time. ^^; I could sell you a pattern, though! It took about an hour and a half to draft, and it doesn't include seam allowance. If you're fine with that, then I'd charge $13. If you want seam allowance then it would be $20 since I'd have to do more work. That's just if you're that interested.

Yes, I love paper clay already! :heart: My friend introduced me to it and I suggest it to everyone now. lol

The shorts weren't all that hard, actually! I didn't use a pattern or anything, but the black part was bought as an already made pair of shorts. Which, in reality, I probably didn't need to buy since the pieces ended up being pretty flat and thus simpler due to it being a stretchy fabric. xD

Ah, all right! Would you send it via digital format or physically in the mail? I can include seam allowances no problem, so $13 is a good deal. <3

On the shorts - Ahaha yeah xD But buying ready-made stuff makes it a little easier if you're pressed for time. That's not a bad idea, really. I've just never sewn stretchy before, so I'm like AHHH WUT.

It would have to be physically since I don't have a scanner to transfer the pattern to my computer, and I don't trust myself to make it digitally. O_O; Send me a note and we can exchange information. :]

Stretchy fabric isn't actually all that difficult to sew! It's not as sturdy as woven fabric, so pinning is a MUST DO. Other than that, I'd just suggest stretching the fabric as you sew. Not to it's full extent, just enough so that when it gets stretched during wear, the thread wont break every 5 seconds. lol

The Blue/Yellow/Black ball is a moon ball, works best on pokemon who evolve with the moon stone. The gold one is the GS Ball. It only makes an appearance in the japanese version of the game and triggers an encounter with Celebi in the original Gold/Silver games. It holds more significance in the anime where it was originally supposed to contain Celebi, but the idea got scrapped when they decided they wanted it to be the star of the 4th movie.
